Guild Wars: The MUD.
Everyone would just trigger tar %1;<spike skill> to leader calls and it would be silly.
Anyways, graphics and appearance (bar clipping issues etc) are something that GW can't really be faulted for. Keep the general style.

Oh Fenix, You So Cynical!
We love you for it!
Actually I agree, wtf is with this crap Anet, taking all the bits of GW which made it a great game during Prophecies and even for part of Factions.
Low Level Cap/Max Stat items easy to get (so little to no grind!) Gone!
Instanced so you don't have idiots camping mob's and PvP is organised. Partially Gone!
No racial abilities so everyone of a certain class is on an even playing field Gone! (look what the new classes/skills did to the detriment of tactical play in PvP. not to mention ridiculous balance's like Blackout)

Like T.E.R.A. ! http://tera.hangame.com/index.nhn?mode=6
Hhahahaha nah , just kidding. Like GW but with more poligons and lightning effects on models , Z axis ( forbidden on fighting , thats lame ) , and much MORE skill animations. Skill animations gives game and characters so much life that i cant explain. Imagine a W with different animation for Executioner , Eviscerate , Keen Chop and even add teases when a kill occurs.
PD: Ok , i will say another game , even though its a FPS , JERICHO !

GW tries to be immersive, so I would not expect it to go more high rez at any costs. Look at racing games, GT5 Prologue in particular. Nothing was gained by giving it a totally glossed over high-def look. On the contrary, it looked even more like a plastic toy world. Car damage, dirt, mud, those were the things making the games look better. Burnout even stops the game just to execute special camera angles on people self destroying. Wet cloth, dented armor, mud, dust, snow, ice, and Zombie goo, those are the things making a game look "better". Most current graphics look too sterile. Which maybe works for wipEout, but not for fantasy MMOs. So I expect the next big improvement in MMOs on the graphical side will be how your character is made a part of the gaming world by getting some dirt on his well groomed beard.
At the same time Bioware and ArenaNet are imo the companies on a collision course from different directions. If any two upcoming MMOs go at each other it's the story driven GW2 vs. lore heavy Star Wars. ArenaNet might be ahead when it comes to multiplayer yet, but Bioware smacks them hands down when it comes to presentation and story complexity (IF they convert that into their MMO).
I am not sure which role D3 is going to play in this, but from what Blizzard has shown, D3 is not that close of a relative to GW2 to seriously undermine it. The left-click hack and slash has not moved forward since Westwood's Nox, so I expect to be D3 an extremely well executed iteration of that making fun for many hours, but nowhere near the time you sink into the likes of GW2. People buying both will be fine with that, while people with only money for one of them will zealously construct insane arguments about which game was "better" and therefore demand exclusive attention.

Same : ) Hopefully that's one of the more prominent lessons ANet learned before ditching Blizz.

Ignore him, he called Aion pretty in a different post. He also plays WoW, so I can't imagine "outdated graphics" are actually a bad thing in his eyes.
As for what I want GW2 to look like... Meh. Gameplay is way more important. Keep it looking like GW, as far as I'm concerned.

If I am going to play GW I want it to look like GW.
At the rate they are going - destroying everything that gives a player an opportunity to be successful with every swing of the nerf bat for the last 4 years, I may not see any reason to play or recommend purchase to anyone of GW2.
for instance: It would be nice if skill balances in PvE were designed to make playing the game probable and fun. Instead of balancing off concepts of PvP to make PvE near impossible.

So, which update is that, then?
The way you roll around the forum trashing PvP in a game which originally aimed to massively emphasize PvP is ridiculous.

I was introduced to GW as an MMORPG. I understand it had to drop the RP because there was none. The only decision they seemed to allow players in their play was whether or not they would play PvE, PvP, or both. Then they spent an entire second game attempting to push players into PvP only to find that we don't want to go. Apparently, PvP was insufficient to bring about this massive 5 million sold (although how many were sold to replace stolen accounts, banned accounts, or are multiple accounts purchased to deal with the lack of character slots and lack of storage is never released/considered).
I find the majority of PvP players to be ill-manered, disrespectful (of themselves and others), im-modest, and immature. I am grateful to the few I have met that were not, because I like know those who are human first. Nor am I going to say there are no immature PvE players (although the worst on maturity we usually share). Also, understand - immaturity is not a function of age, but a lack of values.
While the dev.s may have wanted to emphasize PvP the clients did not. They have spent years attempting to change us. They have not. Further designing the new game around a narrower audience will not achieve repeat sales - unless of course they find new ways to restrict player opportunity such that they again have to purchase multiple accounts or increase the restrictions resulting in permaban so players have to continually buy the game over in order to keep playing. And in today's limited economy with business ethics being what they are, I expect to see both actions.
And the update in question would be "take your pick" over the last 4 years.
